Deck and exterior work
Repair worn outdoor areas and visible exterior defects.
Deck boards, railings, ramps, stairs, coatings, siding and trim repairs for homeowners and properties preparing for sale.
A clear repair plan
Start with the surface—and verify what supports it.
Exterior work is exposed to moisture, movement and changing weather. A field review helps separate surface replacement or coating from structural framing, drainage or bearing conditions that may require added work.
Estimates identify the measured area, working material quantities, finish assumptions, debris responsibility and whether existing framing is being reused. Accessibility-related work remains subject to final measurements and applicable requirements.
Common project items
Work we can define and estimate.
Every property is different. The written estimate identifies the exact scope, materials, exclusions and responsibilities for your project.
How it works
From repair list to completed scope.
Share what you know now. Field conditions, required approvals and availability are confirmed before scheduling.
- 1
Measure and photograph the area
Provide overall dimensions, railing and ramp lengths, stair details, visible damage and the desired material or finish.
- 2
Confirm the repair approach
The estimate distinguishes reuse, selective replacement, full replacement, coatings, allowances and known framing assumptions.
- 3
Approve before materials are ordered
Final quantities, product availability, permit responsibility and the written agreement are confirmed before scheduling.
Common questions
Helpful details before requesting an estimate.
Can you replace deck boards without replacing the framing?
Yes when accessible joists, beams and posts appear suitable for the approved reuse. Concealed deterioration discovered during removal is documented and priced separately before added repair work.
Will a deck restoration coating fix rotten boards?
No. Coatings may improve and protect a sound, properly prepared surface, but severely deteriorated, loose or unsafe boards should be replaced. Product performance also depends on preparation and existing conditions.
Can you make a ramp handicap accessible?
We can estimate an accessibility-oriented ramp or railing based on field dimensions, but final design, permits and applicable accessibility or building requirements must be confirmed for the property and intended use.
Are material quantities final at the preliminary estimate stage?
No. Working quantities are field-verified before purchase. Waste, board layout, railing post spacing, stairs and concealed framing can change the final takeoff.
