Know what to expect
Membership terms & questions.
Each paid membership year lasts 12 months. Visits are scheduled by arrangement after enrollment; contact Bear to coordinate access, your task list or rescheduling. This is scheduled maintenance, without emergency service or a guaranteed response time.
How do I join?
Choose a yearly plan for your home, review the membership terms and complete secure annual payment. Visits are scheduled afterward around an agreed, prioritized task list. These homeowner plans cover one residential property within about a 20-minute drive of Butlerville. Rentals and business locations use a custom maintenance proposal.
What does each two-hour visit cover?
One worker’s walkthrough, setup, agreed maintenance or minor tasks, and cleanup. The list is prioritized before work begins. A long repair list is not a promise that every item will fit in one visit.
Are materials and bigger projects included?
Replacement parts and materials require separate approval. Deck repairs, full painting, pressure washing, flooring and other larger projects receive a separate estimate. Roof access, structural work and specialty-trade services are outside the included visit scope.
Can I combine unused visits?
Yes. Unused included visits can be combined into a longer scheduled visit for covered repairs at the same enrolled property. Two unused two-hour visits provide up to 4 hours for one worker. Walkthrough, setup, agreed tasks and cleanup count toward that time. Redeemed visits are deducted from your balance.
Can unused time help pay for a larger job?
Yes. Unused included time can be applied as a labor credit on a separately quoted larger job at the same enrolled property. Each unused visit provides up to 2 hours of one worker’s labor at that job’s quoted labor rate. The credit cannot exceed eligible labor and is shown separately in the written quote. Redeemed time is deducted from your balance and cannot also be used for a visit. Parts, materials and other excluded charges are separate.
How does the labor discount work?
Apply any unused-time labor credit first, then take 10% off the remaining eligible additional labor. There is no annual dollar cap on the 10% labor discount during your paid membership year. Parts, materials, rentals, disposal, subcontracted work and other already-discounted quotes are excluded. Both membership benefits appear separately in the written quote. Savings depend on the work and benefits you use.
How does annual payment and renewal work?
Seasonal Home Care is $660 and Quarterly Home Care is $1,188, charged at enrollment and every 12 months until canceled. Payment is yearly only. Cancel future renewal before the next charge through Square’s Manage subscription link or contact estimate@1stclasshandyman.us or (812) 717-0881. Canceling renewal preserves benefits for the membership period already paid.
What if a renewal payment fails?
A new paid membership year and its benefits do not begin until payment is confirmed. Benefits in an already-paid period remain available. Updating a card alone does not pay an outstanding renewal invoice; that invoice must be paid before new-year benefits begin.
Are annual payments refundable?
Annual plan payments are non-refundable for customer-initiated cancellation, except where applicable law provides a cancellation or refund right. This policy does not limit remedies for services we fail to provide.
Do I need a membership to request repairs?
No. You can use the repair planner or request an estimate for a single job at any time. Bear reviews the scope and conditions before quoting. A one-time visit may be the better choice for a short repair list.
